Boarding Frequently Asked Questions

When/ where can I drop my pet off for/ or pick my pet up from boarding?

Anytime during our normal business hours. Please refer to our Hours & Directions Page for a complete list of hours.

You may bring your pet right up to our veterinary hospital entrance.  If your pet requires a quiet entrance, free of other dogs/ cats please come in alone and let us know you have arrived, we can assist you from there.

If the veterinary hospital entrance is closed, our Center for Pet Care has extended hours on Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm and on Sunday from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

A boarding reservation is required for admittance.

How early should I book my reservation?

The earlier the better! Our holiday periods book up months in advance.

Should I bring my own pet food?

We offer Science Diet Sensitive Stomach formula pet food to our canine and feline guests. If your pet requires a special diet you may wish to bring that food from home or you are welcome to purchase some of the Hills Prescription food that we sell.

What vaccinations are required?

For our canine guests: We require that they are current on their rabies, distemper and kennel cough vaccines.

For our feline guests:  They are required to have current rabies and distemper vaccines.

How will my dog get exercised every day?

All of our runs are strictly indoors. Dogs get leash walked three times daily, outside of the hospital.

What should I bring with my pet?

The only thing that you are required to bring is your pets vaccination records. We encourage you to fax or email them ahead of time. If you forget to provide veterinary records we are able to administer vaccines while your pet is here as long as our veterinary hospital is open when you drop off.

You may also opt to bring food/ small blankets but these items are optional. We discourage large bedding and blankets, but we do offer soft fleecy blankets free of charge.

Please label items you bring for your pet with his/her name on it and place into a plastic bag.  We are not responsible for any items lost or destroyed. We will do our best to see that all items are returned to you, although your dog may have a different idea.

Are discounts offered for multiple pets or longer stays?

If your pets are sharing a run or cage, we offer a 50% discount for the second pet.

For boarding reservations of 14 days or longer, we require a 50% deposit at the time of drop off. We also offer a 10% discount off of your pet's stay
