About Mayumi
Mayumi Davis was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and she moved to the United States in 2002 with her little Yorkshire Terrier.
She was unable to find a groomer that she could trust and worried about how her dog would be handled. That’s when Mayumi decided to groom him herself.
A few years later, she found herself training to become a professional groomer at the New York School of Dog Grooming.
After her formal training, she gained experience in a number of grooming salons and animal hospitals in New York and Connecticut. In 2006, she moved to Maine. She has gained the trust of many clients because of her gentle treatment and the quality of her grooming work.
Her grooming passion takes her to seminars and workshops all over, to cities in New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the South and even to Japan.
As well as regular grooming service, she provides customized grooming for each dog such as pet hand stripping and scissor finish for some breeds.
Her interest is stress-less grooming for dogs and making them feel happier.
She enjoys her free time with her family and her dogs walking, gardening and cooking.
